How long do I have to accept the wait-list offer??

<p>How long do I have to decide??
I got the call yesterday and I was too surprised and excited to think to ask how long I had to make my decision. </p>

<p>I found this on UVAs wait-list FAQ page..
"You will be notified between the second week of May and the end of June by a member of the admission committee. We will contact students through phone and email. You will then have the following 48 hours to either accept or decline our offer of admission."
and I think the guy on the phone said I would have a couple days.</p>

<p>But is that 48 hours from when the call was made or when my SIS was updated( which was today)? </p>

<p>Ugh this is such a huge decision I dont know what to do!</p>

I am waitlisted as well; what was your major?</p>

<p>I contacted the office and it looks like I’ve got the weekend to decide.<br>
The other places I got accepted were Virginia Tech and William and Mary, and I was in state for engineering at UVA. Good luck with your waitlist.</p>
