How long do they take to review your app?

<p>My friend received notice that she was accepted into UT two weeks after she submitted her application on December 1. I submitted my application in mid-October, but still have not heard back from the school. I check my application status every day, and it says that all of my materials are in and that my decision will be posted there once made. </p>

<p>My friend and I go to a school that does not rank. Could she still have been automatically accepted anyway because an awesome GPA, while they have to read my application a few more times or something?</p>

<p>If your friend was part of the automatic acceptance because she was in the top 9%, then that’s why she got accepted so quickly after she applied. Even if your school doesn’t rank, the counselor or someone sends a school profile so the individual students can be compared to the class as a whole to determine if they get automatic admission.</p>

<p>As for the rest of us, I’ve heard anytime from mid-February to mid-March for the notification dates, so we’ll just have to wait and see.</p>
