how long do you know?

i just finished with the applications last week. im an international student. they say that the admission is rolling. but how long does it takes for you to know?

What's the current deadline for applications? My D who is in her second year at U of T had already received her letter of acceptance by now in the year she applied. Have they extended the deadline date?

i dont really know. but the ouac deadline for engineering is feb 1. the supplemental application required by engineering is marked at feb 26. i think they should have the materials around april 1 or march. not so sure though.

how was her experience in uofT?

My D loves U of T. It's been a great experience so far for her. She's very happy with the courses she's taken, she's had some great professors. Her extra-curricular interests have been met extremely well. She's met kids from all over the world and made lots of wonderful friends. The cost of her education compared to another D who goes to NYU is unbelievably affordable and, in my opinion, a much better education in general. My older D is at NYU for a particular major, otherwise there would be no comparison at all. And Toronto is a great city!

wow. im rooting for UofT now.

thanks!

Hi alwaysamom!!!
My DS is a freshman at UofT in Victoria College and loves it. He is in the Vic One program. He is in a wonderful residence, has great friends (from all over the world, as alwaysamom points out), amazing professors. It has been the perfect choice for him.
He was accepted in Feb of his senior year.

Spikemom, nice to 'see' you again! I'm so glad to hear that your S is enjoying U of T. :) It has also been the perfect choice for my D, she loves Vic.

I'm an ontario high school student, and U of T is ALWAYS the last school to send out acceptances, but from my experience they will accept everyone who meets the average from last year. So if your marks are within U of T's expectations, it's safe to assume that you're in. People who get in very early have VERY high averages (97 on canadian standards).
