DD: How can some of you guys have so little work?!

Freshman year: 2 hours (stupid English teacher)
Sophomore year: 3 hours (stupid hardcore AP World teacher)
Junior year: 6 hours (stupid AP classes + intensive AP Eng workload)

DD: How can some of you guys have so little work?!

Freshman year: 2 hours (stupid English teacher)
Sophomore year: 3 hours (stupid hardcore AP World teacher)
Junior year: 6 hours (stupid AP classes + intensive AP Eng workload)

Senior: usually between 3-5 hours, without college apps and whatever else thats not directly homework
:/

wow i'm astonished... 0-30 minutes of hw?? for some people??

Same, pulchritudious...no one at my school has that little homework (unless they don't do it).

Anywhere between 2 and 8 hours (including studying). Median of six hours though.

And most of it is spent on English .

I never thought I'd ever start my weekend homework on a Thursday.

I have so little "homework" because I'm not including whatever I work on at school. I just manage whatever extra time I have.

Sophomore,
at least 2-3 hours on a weeknight.
3-4 hours on the weekend.

Junior
3 hours max, but it really depends because I'm always doing something else along with homework.

freshmen- 1 ap-0 hours
sophomore-4 aps- 0 hours
junior-7 aps-0 hours

senior year- 7 aps and 2 dual enrollment-***fff 2 hours lameee

Junior: 2-3 hrs weeknights
0 hours weekends.

this is the breakdown for my freshman year

normal core classes- an hour, mayyybe a half if we have tedious math
unnamed elective class- four hours? the first two weeks or so it was only one or two.
unnamed extracurricular activities- five hours? that's a little extreme. three.
sports- could not do them because i spend too much time doing everything else. which sucks because my two alltime favorite sports are going on right now, and i couldn't even join ONE.

if we have projects or tests etc usually "homework" in core classes rises to two hours for tests five hours for projects (the majority of them are 3 day/one week essays)

that was refreshing

How in the world do some of you manage to have NO homework?!

Freshman: 3 hours daily, mostly focused on English. My Freshman English teacher always made us memorize a bunch of crap that we weren't even going to use in future English courses, and in spite of my efforts, I rarely got anything higher than a B on his tests. I ended up with a B+ for the first semester and a B for the second semester. Isn't that silly? Those are the only two grades that are tarnishing my transcript. (Sorry for the long rant - I had to get that off my chest.)
Sophomore: 4 hours daily
Junior (projected): 6 hours - going to be taking AP Lang, AP Calc AB, and AP Chem, so I'm mentally preparing myself for that
Senior (projected): 5 hours - not as many AP's

This year (junior)

20-30 minutes for Physics
1-2 hours for Reading Lit.
20 minutes for AP Italian
Like 10 minutes for APUSH
20 minutes for Algebra II/Trig.

Around 2+ hours.

Junior:
Somewhere between 10 and 90 minutes, on average. And I catch up on some things on the weekend.

I guess my teachers don't assign much homework.

For homework, I'd say around 3 or 4 hours a night... not including AP Art projects. I work on AP Art projects 2 or something even 3 hours alone, so yeah, imagine having a big project due the next day and two tests to study for... I hardly get any sleep.

Wow I wish I had y'alls homework schedules.
Chemistry-0-10 minutes (Usually finish in class)
Spanish-0-10 minutes (I also do this in class)
A.P. World History- at least 3-4 hours more if it is getting close to when my assignments are due
A.P. Government- 1-2 hours
Trig- 0-30 minutes
A. P. Lit-2 hours a night
Chorus- 1 1/2 hours twice a week (I am in a play which I was required to do by my teacher.

I start IB next year so I don't know if it will get worse or better.

Freshman: 3 hours
Sophmore: 2-3 hours
Junior: like 8
Senior: @.@ probably like 2 and like 8million hours on Apps or something

P.S. I haven't really gotten a handle on jr. year. Its hard. If I get distracted, any amount of HW takes ALL NIGHT= no sleep.

Yeah if I sat down and didn't get up until I was done everything takes < 3 hours minus jr. year cuz its a lot of work.

ALC: hardest class like 0 minutes
Physics: 40 minutes for like 10 problems cuz I copy questions... if I didn't copy questions like 20 minutes. Labs take 40 minutes because I'm preoccupied with getting an A+
Precalc: 40 minutes.
APUSH: 40 minutes. If I don't finish then that's that. He explains in class anyway.
AP Bio: 0 actual HW; 1 hour to show everyone up in class lol. Sorry I just love Bio and due to previous behavior I have to do this or I'll be labelled an arrogant fool.
English: 7 hours when I have a paper. regular hw gets done on the train.
each page for any paper takes like 2 hours.

wow at some of these numbers lol...

freshman year - 1 hr i guess, year was a joke (was in a school that didn't offer honors or AP's)

sophmore year - 1-3 hours. chem took a lot of time for reviewing because of the way the tests were given.

junior year - 2.5-7 hours. 7 on days when i had 30+ page take home tests for chemistry that were due on the next day. those were horrible especially during tennis season and when i had academic competitions lasting until 8 or 9 pm.

senior year - 2.5-5. hmmm, biology takes the most time, i can usually finish calc bc work during school, english can be lengthy in spurts, and physics isn't bad.

heres the breakdown of last thursday: came home at 3, outlined 3 bio chapters and did calc until 6:30, read for a test on 16 poetry chapters until 930, speed read 3 bio chapters until 12:30. Went to bed and powernapped until 4. woke up and finished reviewing bio, completed psych and health work. lol the life of an AP student.

i'm wondering how some people are taking all these AP classes. my school didn't offer AP's until junior year and the msot i could fit with my schedule was 3 and the most i could fit this year (senior year) was 4.

Junior... 2 to 5. I have 2 APs and 3 Honors, so it's not too bad.

freshman. about 1.5 hrs per night. most is from AAAT (advanced accelearted alegrba 2/trig). its ridiculous.

in the morning, i take a bus across the city, so i study for 45 minutes.

total is about 2 hours per "night"
