^Yeah, sometimes I study like 20+ hours on weekends if I am cramming in work, but at the same time efficiently. I could easily just put 10 hours of studying and not review the material comprehensively, but the more time, the better for me.

My classes just started last week, but last year I studied about 50/week also. I’m engineering.

Did you guys have any free time? It sounds like it’s just going to class, eating, studying and then sleeping. ;__; I’m wondering because I already put in a lot of time in high school with only a few APs. I used to study ~ 8hrs a day too… so I figured college will be even harder for me.

With 50 hours/week of studying and all the school stuff I have 118 hours a freetime a week.

Screw Studying just be a genius

I guess on average, between class, homework, and studying, I’m looking at around 45-50 hours/week as well, but there’s still time for other stuff too. I know it sounds like a lot of time, but you get used to it pretty fast. :)

I haven’t studied yet, and it’s been 2 weeks since school started. You all must be overachievers.

10 hours a week max. life is pretty cruisy in a commerce (accounting) degree.

“I have 118 hours a freetime a week.”
^ Minus ~56 of those which count as sleeping. x__x …and however long it takes to eat, be involved in extracurriculars, etc.

By freetime you mean how much time do I have to screw around and go on CC and stuff? Still a good 15-20+ or so hours a week.

i hardly study at all. this week so far i may have studied 2 or 3 hours

typically 4 hours.

maybe 2 hours a week lol more if I have a paper or test

My daughter is a freshman. After the first 5 weeks of school, she said that her classes at college are much easier than her AP classes in high school. She doesn’t have to study nearly as much. She is a comp sci major taking 6 classes:

Discrete Structures
Multivariable Calculus
Comp Sci II
Intro to Gender & Womens Studies
Freshman Honors Forum
CWIT Forum

I really don’t know the exact number of hours she is studying, but I would estimate it’s about 20-25 hours. She doesn’t have to study on weeknights at all. So far, she has an A average in each class.
