<p>Generally, how long do companies wait to contact you if they want to hire you after an interview?</p>
<p>If you wait for 2 days after the interview and there is no call does that mean you can just forget it?</p>

<p>There is no hard and fast rule about this (each company does its own thing) , if its been over 10 days no harm in giving them a call.</p>
<p>Remember to send a thank you note after maximum 48 hours!</p>
<p>Depends on the internship. If it is highly sought finance internship, then generally same day or next day, although they say that they will let you know in around 1-2 weeks. However, it took a month for one of my friends to hear back, since others rejected their offers.</p>
<p>For non-finance internships, I would say 3 days - 1 week, 2 weeks maximum.</p>
