How Long does ACT take to Send Scores?

How long does ACT take to send scores to schools? I sent them/paid yesterday, Wednesday.

Would they be out by Tuesday of next week?

It all depends on how the school chooses to receive them. Most schools receive them electronically and the scores arrive within a few days. Some schools receive them on a disc and those are only sent out 2x per month. And some schools receive scores by mail.

Thanks for the reply.

But the schools I applied to go the electronic route as far as I am aware.

If the schools recieve them electronically does that mean they “get” them right as ACT sends it, or does the school have to process the reports before putting them under my name?

Thanks again!

It can take anywhere from 2-8 weeks. It depends on when the ACT sends the scores out (depending on how many requests they have) and how often the schools receive them. Also, once the school receives it, it still has to process it.

The ACT site says they are sent out within a week, I believe the 2-8 week timeframe is for SAT?

If I applied on October 25, and it takes roughly 4-5 days to send scores, suppose the scores are sent to IU by Monday.

Is there any way to know if IU collects the score by Tuesday Nov. 1?

Perhaps a better/more accurate question to ask would be:

When you sent your ACT scores to colleges, how long did it take to show up on your college admissions site (if you had one)?
