I have applied to Penn State and Pitt several days ago. I have heard it could take up to 6 weeks to get an admission decision. If anyone has had this experience could they tell me how long it took for them to hear back? I am particularly interested in knowing for Penn State. Thanks!
My memory could be failing me, but I think DD heard back from Pitt super fast. Like two or three weeks. YMMV. She applied later in the cycle. No experience with Penn State.
You can go to the school’s forums on CC and see when last year’s applicants were notified. It looks like October 30 for Penn State. You can start the 2020 thread!
Pitt has rolling admissions, so you should hear from Pitt fairly quickly. Penn State calls its admissions rolling, but it is their own definition of rolling. You may get a decision earlier, but most people who submit all application materials by Nov. 30 (priority application deadline) hear back in late January.
Yes, my D applied in August last year and heard back from Pitt within 3-4 weeks.
