How long does it take CB to send SAT scores

^If the schools accept the Jan scores, then the December score sending is not a problem at all.

i sent my scores to the UC’s (they dont do Jan scores) and well UCI/UCB’s deadline is the 31st of december. i have sent it on the 18th/19th, so you guys think it should get to the UC’s by the 31st?

i had no idea of their deadlines or i wouldve sent it earlier!! i thought the UC deadline was the same for all end of jan…

^Was the delivery method electronic? If so then yes it should likely get there on time. Plus there’s always a bit of leeway in these matters.

rsaxena
thank you.
electronic means regular shipping, right?

yes that is what i did.

Hey guys, I’m having a freakout moment. I sent my SATs yesterday (i know, stupid) because it completely slipped my mind. I’m pretty sure the schools with electronic transmission will get them in a week, but what about those with mailed transmission…

I found out yesterday that Williams and Vanderbilt have the mailed transmission. Will they get it in time for review?!..should i resubmit these two with rush?

@spatel23 - You’ll be fine, don’t worry.

What do their websites say? Do they have fixed deadlines for SAT scores like the UC’s? I’m sorry I couldn’t be more helpful, but I’m not applying to either of the schools, so I don’t know much about them.

I sent my scores out on the 25th. If all my colleges receive electronic scores, will they receive them in time? Thanks

My earliest due date for the common app is Yale, which is on the 31st

@ohboyboy

yes. for electronic scores, you will be fine. The schools upload the scores every week or two, and they will get the scores in time for review-which is usually in Feb. I’m just not sure about snail mail =/ (two of my schools use this method).

@ rsaxena

Their websites say they will take december scores (i had finished my testing in october–i had just forget to send them)…so i think i should be ok (?)

^You should be, since this system works much like the postmark thing - as long as you ordered the scores to be sent before the deadline, you should be fine.

How do you find out whether or not the school that you applying accepts electronic submission or snail mail?

^It’s shown when you’re ordering the score reports to be sent.

hey rsaxena
so for UCI, the deadline is the 31st (if you remember above post) this is what it says in hte email:
"The deadline for your official score report to be **received **by the UC Irvine
campus is December 31, 2010. "

i keep trying to call them, but all i get is a recording. should i fax them my report? with a hand written message too?

the email also says:
“Freshmen and Transfer Applicants
Please use the Message Center feature in your “MyAdmissionsApplication@UCI” for any communications to the Admissions office. Paper, email, and faxed media are not accepted.”

EDIT!! Big news: CB reports: “We sent the following scores on December 30, 2010”
does this mean that it “should” reach the deadline… am i safe?

^Yes if the school accepts electronically. The schools probably realize many people are last minute senders, so they upload on the deadline dates. Besides, colleges send reminders for missing things because they know mistakes (sometimes stupid ^_^) occur.

That means your scores will not reach by December 31st, but you still will be safe. Electronic submission means your scores will get there by the first week of January, which is acceptable really - every college gives some kind of leeway on this matter - it’s not like they shut down their systems from January 1st.

And as paosid said, that’s the reason they give you remainders. They like the fact that you’re applying. You’ll be fine.

Even better. You can now inform them that your scores on the way. They’ll definitely forgive you.

rsaxena- for UC Berkeley (gulp!)

so i know that i will have some lee-way, but in regards to this:

am i screwed for Berkeley? the deadline for Berkeley is the same- Dec. 31, but they say that the deadline is "no later than Jan (without any date specified)

You’ve taken all exams before Dec 31st and your scores were ordered to be sent well before the deadline. You’ll be given enough leeway I think. So no, you’re not screwed.

how long does it take for sending the 4 free colleges which was chosen before getting the result from college board?
