<p>See, I thought it was sent the instant you click the "submit" button. But I thought that for the send scores for CB too <-- that takes 1-2 weeks!! </p>
<p>So now I am wondering how many hours/days/weeks does it take for an online app to reach the university...</p>
<p>I believe that it is close to instantaneous. Like sending an email.</p>

<p>If you are talking about the Common Application - colleges download applications regularly (which can vary from daily to weekly). You can check to see when the college downloaded it on your status page.</p>
<p>With CB, you are requesting that it send scores and thus how long depends on when it decides to send not when you make the on-line request. With an on-line application from a college, you are sending electronic mail directly to the college and it takes only so long as the internet takes to get it there (sometimes instantaneous, sometimes a few minutes)</p>
