On Friday, I sent applications to: American University; UMD College Park; George Mason; Clark U; and UMass Amherst.
The latter two have since sent me emails stating they received my Common Application. How much longer should it take to receive that notification from the other schools? How long does it usually take to receive this notification?

My guess is that they’ve received your app, or will sometime this week.
Along with 10,000 other apps.
Not all schools will contact you to let you know it’s arrived; they’ll only contact if one of the pieces of the app is missing.
And then, of course, there’s the question of results.
Even with rolling admissions, I think you’ve got to figure 2 months ballpark.
You’ve had since August 1st to mail, what, 10 or so apps? They’re reading and evaluating tens of thousands of apps, and giving each and every one exactly the same TLC you’re hoping they give yours.
Brace yourself for a long wait!
