i sent them last monday and it still says "your order is pending"...how long doesit take?

You’ll be fine. The admission committees are out of the office, and receive the scores electronically.

For future reference, the website gives a maximum time of 4 weeks but it rarely takes that long. In my experience, it generally takes about a week.

And make sure the college accepts them electronically, believe it or not some schools still accept test scores on paper via USPS mail. If sent electronically, probably less than 1 week. If snail-mailed, anywhere from 2 to 3 weeks.

I noticed my D’s took 4-7 days to show as having been sent…in a must less busy time period. But, you requested them by the deadline. No worries. It will take the college some time to sort them anyway. They’ll be entering TONS of data come January 4th.

I just found out Stanford wants em Jan 1. should I even try to send it now?

aznmlfan…Yes. If you’ve already submitted your application, you HAVE to send them or you’ve wasted your application money. Most colleges (and I can’t speak about Stanford specifically) just need things “postmarked”. In this electronic age…I’m sure the fact that you requested them is fine. There HAS to be a deadline or people would NEVER send this stuff in. I don’t even understand why anyone waits so late. It will take weeks for Stanford to get all the last minute applications and supplemental materials both received and entered. They won’t read until your app is complete. If you’re a likely candidate…unless they specifically say they will NOT consider any applicant whose materials are all received by 1/1…they’re not going to hold that one thing against you. It’s probably a little blip in a column on a spreadsheet (SAT scores received? Date received? Math score? …etc.).

This is normally NOT what I preach. I stood behind my D with a cattle prod (because she’s not early like I am). But she has decided to add one late school and it’s an Ivy, and I asked them and THEY (not all) said “meh…get the application, all parts, done for SURE…and get the other pieces as quickly as you can”. Basically, they’d wait a bit, while they were entering everything. But no one was going to go out of their way to hold her application aside if her transcript was sent late. That would be ridiculous to expect special consideration.
