just curious…does it take hours, days?
yikes!

good question, any advice from graduating seniors, etc.?

well...its took me 6 hours to finish the UC apps. 5 hours for the essay and one hour for the ec's/awards/ grades...my other 2 applications for USC and Stanford took around 10 hours to complete together. It doesnt take long to do an application. the only long part is the essay and after that, its just writing down ur GPA/ SAt/ awards/ec's.

by the way....its doesnt take DAYS to do an appliction. tip for writing, try to tell who you are and try to be urself. u might tihnk..GOD I HEARD DIS A BILLION TIMES!!!..but its true.

Two words: Common App

Do you think that the common app looks like you don't care enough about the college to use their personal app? I know that some schools only accept the common app, but for the others...?

My suggestion is to complete last year's common app this summer and use it as a guide for completing your college apps as they become available. You can move alot more quickly when you have your highschool code, your parents' place of work, your SAT scores, your gc's phone, fax, and emails right there instead of looking around for them. Also having two good essays right there that can be used as base will be most helpful. If you are applying to schools that have long apps with many essays, it is helpful to get last year's apps and get those essays completed. Not that many changes year to year, I have noticed. Once you have the toughest ones down, the others can be a piece of cake.
