<p>Accepted to the College of Liberal Arts! I was wait listed for Carlson Business School. Admissions counselor gave me a call this weekend and gave me the news. I sent an e-mail to the school asking why the response took so long and they got back to me that week and told me the decision! Application tracker is still not updated.</p>

<p>Hi do you guys know when transfer students for Fall 2012 typically get a decision?</p>
<p>It says the deadline to apply is March 1. I sent mine by post on December 29th~ish but the status says my application hasn’t been received.
Since I’m an inter-college transfer, I’m wondering if it’s even put in the application tracker (though I should think so, since it does change your college of enrollment)</p>

<p>Finally an update 
I got a call from an admissions counselor last night after I emailed the admissions office. Basically, he told me I was going to be admitted to the university BUT the reason that my application is taking so long is because my first choice was College of Science & Engineering. Since it’s one of the most competitive UMinn colleges, I am borderline. They want to wait until the end of the process to make sure they don’t admit too many students to CSE.</p>
<p>In other words, if you are still waiting on a decision it may simply be because you are on a “wait list” for your first choice college.</p>
<p>Omg after nearly 5 months…updated to “carefully considered” wish me luck :D</p>
<p>Ironically I wish they would have waited a week because I JUST sent them an updated transcript today (with improved rank/GPA) lol oh well guess it doesnt matter :/</p>

<p>^yea i applied September 8th. My first choice was CSE for Chemistry.</p>
<p>I applied back in August and they didn’t tell me anything until right before Christmas. Their “rolling” system doesn’t seem to be very efficient. However, ever since I was accepted and called the faculty there a few times, they have been very helpful and nice.</p>
