I sent my application on Dec 15, and my status changed to “being carefully considered” on Feb 10.

At last, I can go to sleep without worrying about uni.

Accepted to CLA!

Applied October 16th
GPA: 3.45 (Top 40%)
ACT: 28

I was really nervous when I saw this thread after I applied (seeing better stats), but I got my acceptance letter on Friday to CLA (applied Dec 7). I never saw my application updated on the site for some reason, even though I checked constantly. My friend I’m rooming with got into the CEHD in early January with a 25 ACT, he applied in November. Wooo, can’t wait :D

GPA UW: 3.45
GPA W: 3.93

Congrats to all the recent acceptees (it that’s a real word ). Our D1’s freshman year has been a fantastic experience for her, and I hope you all will enjoy the U just as much. Go Gophers!!

I got accepted to CLA!
GPA: 3.43 UW
Rank: 33%

Lots of musicals and awards, orchestra, work and used to volunteer at library, etc.

My status changed today to “February 22, 2012: Your application is being very carefully considered”. I know a month or two ago that would have typically meant “pending Acceptance” but now so close to their mass decision mailout date, I am not sure what if anything that means. Perhaps they change the status of everyone to “…carefully considered…” at this stage before mass mailout.

Did those who got accepted in the last week or two notice a similar change of status before being accepted ? Did anyone else see a change of status before getting waitlisted/rejected ?

My status changed today too. I hope I dont get waitlisted/denied. TheKiwiOnPrarie, do you mind posting your gpa and act/sat? Mines 3.2 and 2090 sat with 1440 math + verbal. I dont think i’d get denied with those stats.

Same GPA as yourself, 29 ACT (no SAT I or SAT II). Several APs, 4 more APs in my Sr year, Legacy, several EC and leadership roles, above average volunteer hours, decent recs. Which specific college did you apply to Hanzee ?

CSE, I took a full honors/AP schedule as well. I have 9 Ap’s and took honors for everything that was available. I was reading somewhere that too many people applied to CSE so thats why its taking longer.

I have the same phrase on my University of Minnesota account online about my application being “carefully considered” as of February 22! I applied September 19 and I applied to the College of Liberal Arts also. UMinn is a reach for me and even though I have already decided on which college I am attending, I can’t wait to get my decision still, haha.

My D got acceptance from UIUC and OSU but waitlisted by UMN yesterday.
SAT1930
GPA93.5/100
moderate Volunteers and acitivities

applied at Dec 14, got wait listed.
