???????????

this is no core curriculum at yale.
just distributional requirements in writing, quantitative reasoning, foreign language, science, social sciences, and humanities. but you can fulfill them however you want.

actually I think there are only 4 distributions technically. The foreign language and quantitative reasoning are just requirements. Distributional requirements are generally pretty easy to fulfill since each of the four distributions encompass alot of subjects.

I'fm already fluent in Spanish, can that count for a foreign language? also, is there a general amount of time one is done with the requirements. Why are double majors so rare at Yale? im assuming there is no joint BA/BS program?>

Actually, double majors are quite common at yale. I know a couple of people who go to yale, all of whom are planning to double major since there are no minors. Yale believes that if you care about something enough to major in it, then you might as well major in it. I'm not sure about the joint BA/BS program, but I do know that some people can earn a BA/MA at graduation, but that is very rare.

Getting a BA/MA or BS/MS (or even BA/MM!) is not that rare at Yale.

what is BA/MM?

it is if you earn a BA and an MA in your first four years of undergraduate study. It's rare because you need permission from a bunch of people before you can take classes in the Graduate school of arts and sciences. And then to take enough credits to earn the MA while still earning the BA.

MM=Music degree
