I am starting driver's ed in August and it will finish in October. The driving program I have will enable me to waive getting a permit, so I can start immediately without taking the written test. My question is, will I be able to obtain my license by December, provided I pass the test? I am assuming there isn't anything else you have to do besides the driving test after driver's ed, is that correct?

Madmag-They've been wanting to put that into action for a LONG time. Whether or not they actually have yet, I don't know. But it's definitely in the works, if it's not law yet.

Yeah it depends where you are. We don't even have driver's ed where I am. We take a required alcohol&drug 4hr online course then study the driver's handbook. When you feel ready and you're 15 you take the online permit test. Once you pass you get your permit and your parents teach you to drive for a year. Then you take a driving test and you get your license.

In the state of lovers, apple trees, and 4 out of the 5 first presidents, there are several requirements to get your license:
Take test to get your Learners Permit(have to by 15 and 1/2)
Drive 45 hours(15 at night and 30 during the day)
Take a driver's ed class for so many weeks(get a certificate)
Take behind the wheel
You can get it 9 months after having your Learner's Permit.
