How long does it take to self-study Calc AB?

I'm curious as to know how long I would need to master pre-calc and calc AB topics mostly self-studied and with tutor guidance…could this be done in a school year with an AP test at the end?

Much of it depends on your aptitude in the subject area. A year should be enough time, but you’ll have to devote yourself to it and actually work on it every day. I don’t know if I would advise self-studying if a classroom option is available, since you’ll find that calculus is a different world from the “math” that we are priorly exposed to.

A classroom option is available, I would just like to be in the calc BC class junior year…our school requires calc AB before BC

Bump

What would you take senior year if you take Calc BC as a junior?

multivariable

would it be worth the time and effort?

Yes, there are students at my school who self study BC in order to get into multi. I think if you are good at math, AB is definitely doable.

Any book suggestions?
