<p>I sent my HS transcripts on Friday to UT Admissions. Today I checked my application status and it said they received it, saying it was ready for review. My rank is 3/675 in my school and I applied for the Cockrell School of Engineering (prolly won't get accepted into BME but perhaps EE?). How long should I expect a notification of acceptance into the school/major if my stats are decent? I've heard from about 2 weeks to a couple months? Anyone?</p>

<p>My DS heard back within a couple of days. How’s your SAT? With your rank and a high SAT, you will hear back quickly. With a so-so SAT it may take longer. Good luck!</p>
<p>my sat score was an 1840 back in march, i plan on taking it again (for scholarship/other purposes) since it’s too late for it now.</p>
<p>If you are a senior, don’t bother, they won’t look at it. Everything has to be in by December 1st. Can you take it in October? How about the ACT?</p>
<p>Start checking your bealonghorn at the end of September. My son and all his friends who applied fairly early found out on October 1st last year.</p>
<p>As for the SAT, I do think it is a good idea to take it again for scholarship apps, etc. My son improved his reading score about 200 points when he took it in the fall of his senior year. Most of the scholarship apps aren’t due until January and beyond.</p>
