How long does the application take to get reviewed?

My status finally says: Your application for admission is ready for review....

What does this mean?
Is it getting reviewed at the moment?
Or is it sitting and waiting to get reivewed?
Anyways other info I am trying to transfer with an AA from a State college/Community college in florida. Ill have my AA this semester 3.4-5 gpa Criminal Justice. What do ya think?

It can take from 2 weeks till just prior to the start of the semester you are enrolling in. It will be reviewed first by admissions and then by the department that your major is in. They will be checking to see if you are on MAP for your major, etc. They might want to wait until Spring grades post. The more competitive the application the shorter the time you will hear. The more competitive the major the more time it may take.

GOOD LUCK.

I’m transferring too. Mine FINALLY says it’s ready for review now too. It took more than a month for them update some parts of my application so I’m not holding out much hope for a quick decision.

Having emailed and called with a question and never gotten a response has left me with some low expectations of the admissions department.

Mine has just been forwarded to my major’s department for final review! When that happened for my best friend, she knew within a week.

If you call admissions, they will usually forward you to an admissions officer; that did for me and she was very helpful and polite.

I had questions about how to prove my residency and they transferred me to the same lady’s voicemail each time I called. I will call again and make a bigger deal about speaking to a real person.

I read some old threads today and my best guess is that it will take about 4-5 weeks. What I read earlier is just what Chris says, it’ll probably take about a week after it goes to the department.

Did you try clicking on their residency link on the site? I did it that way and found it easy. As long as you have the usual documents, i.e, driver’s license, passport, vehicle registration, voters registration. I don’t think you need all of them, but I filled it out awhile ago out of boredom.

Let me know if I can help in any way :)

I think you need to have 2 out of 3 at least a year old: FL drivers license/id, voter registration, or vehicle registration. I only have a drivers license. I live with family so I don’t have utility bills in my name. I have instate tuition at my current FL college. They had me prove it with a letter from an employer stating that I had worked full-time for over a year. But now I quit that job right when fall semester started to focus on school. I work part time at my college. So yeah it’s all complicated!

Mine is at the major of my choice department too! I sent my transcript to UF right after christmas and I got a response last week I got into UF. So do you think I will get into FSU? Thanks! Ill keep everyone updated if I get in thanks for the info folks!

I’m also transferring with my AA from a florida school. I have a 3.7 GPA and my major is accounting. I applied in October and about a month later they sent a request for my fall grades. I sent that when it was available in late December. Now I’m also getting the " ready for review" status. From what I understand when you get that message your major’s specific dept is looking at it and you should get an answer in about 2-3 weeks.

I was told by admissions 6-8 weeks after its been sent to your department your applying for. Though I would much rather like 2-3 lol. I got into University of Florida and found out last week so I am hoping for a similar result
