How long does the foreign language placement test last? Like how long is it applicable since taking it?

I am a business student-- which didn't require a foreign language; however, i decided to take a major in the College. I took the language placement and scored into the third semester spanish... but i am really not that good. So i was also thinking about taking it at a community college and/or for credit/no credit. What do you guys think?

A year after the test date and you are able to retake the test 6months after the test date.

In regards, to taking it at a cc or for credit/no credit, is pretty much a personal decision based on how determined you are to learn the spanish language. However, by you testing into the 3rd semester of spanish, must be a sign that you must not be as bad as you think you are. I am fluent in speaking/reading spanish, but when it comes to writing, I have problems, and fortunately I tested out of the foreign language requirement. Just make sure to touch up on your spanish and you’ll be fine!

So if i wait until my junior or senior year to take spanish, but i am going to take it at a local university/not usc, then would i still need to retake the placement test?

Well based off what my advisor told me, you can just take the level of spanish that you placed in at the local university, but I would check twice to see if the one year period applies to outside schools. Are you freshman or sophomore?
