How long should the Reed essay be? I'm guessing less than 500 words.

Mine was just under 500, but you could go a little over that.

Mine was under 400 words, but I’m sure some people’s essays were twice (or thrice) as long.

It really doesn’t matter, as long as you’re using exactly as many words as you need–no more, no less.

Hmm, that’s difficult. The only thing I wouldn’t want is for the admissions officers to get bored and stop reading!

why would you want that?

^The OP said they wouldn’t want that :P

Well, the only way to ensure that they won’t is to write it well!

Oh dear. My apologies.
The fact that I can’t read certainly bodes well for my application process! :(

It’s summer, no one knows how to read.

Speaking of which, I might want to finish the Odyssey soon…Orientation is next week, eeeeeeeeek!

YOU LUCKY REEDIE, YOU!
Have loads of fun!

Hahah I will. And good luck with your college admissions! Maybs come for a visit at some point? Reed is SUPER welcoming to prospies.

And don’t use distance as an excuse. I’ve been to the campus 4 times ;)

^oh hey new Reedie. Are you on the 2015 board?

On Facebook? Yah I’m Matt Bernobich.

Jenn Lindell

Ah, hey! You posted in the party discussion no? Can you tell me more about this “hotboxxx”?

I’ll message you on Facebook. We’ve kinda hijacked this thread.

Of course I’ve visited! Once in the spring, and every night; in my dreams!

The simple answer: it has to be long enough to get your point across. How long that actually is depends entirely on your answer to the question.
