Newdawn, my son is very calm about all this. Maybe if I were more relaxed, he'd take on the job of being the nervous one; that seems to be the way things work. But, as it is, I've got the position of full-time neurotic.
I wonder, if your daughter knows she wants nursing, how will a second choice major be satisfactory to her? Is it possible for her to transfer into nursing if she doesn't get in as a freshman?

Mine took about 8 weeks. I completed my application on the 15th of September (with supporting doc's sent out on the 19th); my decision was made on the 3rd of November, I got my acceptance letter on the 13th. This was for the Delco. branch.

PlaidFreak: Actually, I would prefer her to take on a general major like biology instead of something more specific as nursing...but she has definitely done her research and passionately wants to take the career as far as she can. Whether she will still want to go to Penn State under a different major or not, she will have to make that decision at the end after all the colleges decisions are in and see which will be the best option for her and our pocket book.

BTW, you are not alone...count me in as another neurotic parent!! I can't wait until this is all behind us!

They received my application on November 29th, and I received an acceptance letter today.

My son sent his application on a Thursday evening and we received the CONGRATULATIONS! packet the following Thursday.... Exactly a week. This was about a month ago. He was accepted at UP-Eberly College of Science.

He also applied ED at Franklin and Marshall and we should hear by next Friday if he is accepted. If so, that is where he will be going.

^^^ Dates were November 9th for sending, checked on Tuesday November 14th that a decision was made and received packet November 16th.

They received everything by Nov 1st, and a decision was made on Nov 29th. I got the acceptance letter in the mail on Dec 2nd.

Submitted 21 Nov ... acceptance 5 Dec ... Coll of Eng., U.Park ... prbly just hit the timing right. Anyone know deadline for Schreyer?

I'm out of state and applied on the 29th of november (recieved the 30th) the website tells me that my decision is coming in the mail (as of the 7th.)
