I ordered additional score reports for my December 2010 SAT scores to be sent to a few more schools a little more than a week ago. But the schools have yet to receive them. How long does it usually take for them to get the scores?

I did some googling around, and most say 1-2 weeks, is that accurate?

Have you confirmed that CB has sent them. If so, the college probably has them but just has not matched your score with your application file yet which can sometimes take longer to do than the sending and receipt of the scores. Or it has actually matched them to your file but you just don’t know that has occurred.

With electronic delivery what usually happens is that the college has on-line secured account with CB. CB “sends” your and anyone else’s scores by placing the scores into that account. Accomplishing that can potentially take a few business days after you have ordered scores sent. Receipt by the college then depends on when the college goes into its account and downloads the scores. Then after doing that, the college has to match the scores downloaded to the particular application files.

Finally, for many colleges, the only way you can even determine if additonal scores have been received is to contact the college and find out because your on-line account where it shows scores received will only show what is necessary to verify that you have complied with a requirement – in other words, it will show the first SAT score received which verifies that an SAT score has been sent and received but then it will not show anything on additonal scores received thereafter…

you can log back into your score send history to check when it was sent. usually for me, when it was like not the high peak period, it took 3 to 5 days for regular, but at peak periods like when near college or scholarship deadlines or whatnot, it took like 7 to 8 days. once it is sent to colleges, they can download whenever.
