I just got from step two (been there about a week) to step three today. I'm an auto-admit but still curious about how long it will take. any estimates?

If you’re an auto-admit, don’t even waste your time and save yourself the worry…

you are probably right, yet wanting to know for certain, negates your response. Even though the chances are remote, there is a small chance that things get lost; something unthought of happens. I understand lsu wanting a letter in hand that is proof to self that he is in.

I applied three times in all.

1st time, I was on Step 3 for maybe 3 or 4 weeks and rejected.
2nd time, I was on Step 3 for maybe 1 week and rejected.
3rd time, I was on Step 3 for 3 or 4 days and was accepted.

I guess you never know. Lol

Thank you both for you answers. And you are correct yojay. It feels so much better having a letter in hand (feels like a greater sense of accomplishment) than just assuming that you get in. It also puts me at ease that nothing got lost.

In all three times, lol, nothing ever got lost. Transcripts from my high school twice, two different CCs twice and 3 LORs in all…

I don’t expect anything to get lost, but with 50k students i could see where it could be easy for a piece of paper to get misplaced. btw, had you ever applied this early in the year? when did you apply your third time? sorry for the questions just curious.

I also went to Step 3 yesterday. I am an academic transfer in for the Spring and I completed the TAP agreement. My major is electrical engineering. :)

I am going into EE also!

Awesome! Are you an incoming freshman for fall 2012 or spring 2012? Transfer? haha.

will be a freshman fall 2012.

Ah okay. I’m coming in as a junior for transfer…I am guaranteed acceptance too so I guess we’ll find out a decision soon enough! :)
