how long is your "day off" essay?

mine's only a paragraph...but it was enough to sum up everything. is that too short? it's not creative/metaphorical language either, it's straight to the point.

mines about 6 or so paragraphs. However they are short. It seems kind of boring but it is true about me. I am worried about it to tell you the truth..

Mines 637 words, I think its the best piece of literature I have written too =) It has so much imagery and metaphoric language too, I gave it some people and it made em cry

coolpenguin-
There is no official requirement for length, although it is recommended 500-1000 words for that essay. Also, you don't have to sum up everything and state exactly what you would do. The essay is very open ended and there are many ways to interpret the question.

whatever fits you and represents you

alright thanks guys :)

tinas would you mind letting me read yours? it just sounds so awesome :D

yeah tinas i would really enjoy reading it. i love things like that.. haha =) wow i'm nerdier than i thought! yay

wait i thought the day off one was the short response one. The other one on "how you utilize your academic opportunities" is the long one?

I really want to, i'm too paranoid. lets see what happens friday.

but heres an exceprt

"By the end of the day, I go to bed dreaming of brushstrokes and swirls of rainbow colors, the sky raining hues of ink, a candle drawn of pitch black charcoal and emitting sable dust, houses constructed out of textured clay, the sky wrapped in ribbons of white; and it is all running away from me."

from AdmissionsDaniel's previous posts, he stated that generally the "day off" essays should be 500-1000 words, and the "favorite class" essays are around 250-500. I don't think there's a set requirement, so if you swapped the two, it shouldn't be a problem. I would go find those posts, but I'm lazy. Use the search function :p

Heh, my just-written essay is 750 on the dot. It only covers about 3hrs; its about a specific thing I would do, but its a lot of reflection about the past incorporated into it.
