How long is your short answer?

There's no really distinction on how long the "why lehigh" essay can be....

How long was everyone's short answer?

Mines like a paragraph. I am really not sure how to go on with this short answer.. is it really really important?

Mine was 387 words if that helps any....I think at one of the info sessions i went to they said keep it 200-400 or so words....enough to keep it under a page

I'm pretty sure the 'Why Lehigh' short answer is important to the Lehigh admissions officers, at least from what I took from an infosession.

Ok that's great. Because I wasn't sure whether since on the application it was a tiny box it was only supposed to be a paragraph, or whether i was supposed to write a longer selection..

I submitted my application yesterday, and I sent a 400 word essay. I remembered them saying it was an important factor, so I put a lot of thought into i and made it personalized to me.

It may be a little long, but to me getting your message across seems more important than being concise and losing your message. Hopefully admissions will like it....

how long is everyone elses?

Mine turned out to be 233 words. I cited somethings I learned from the Engineering infosession and the regular campus tour. I don't think that 400 words is too much as long as you were concise and conveyed your feelings about the university well. If it shows interest, it can't hurt. Best of luck with your applications.

those essays really only need to be about 200-300 words long. read my last post in the "RD chances.. i know i know" thread. there may be a helpful hint in there about your essay.

mine is 470 words...
I did not do Lehigh's essay ( I did the substitute comm app choice)
Therefore, I wanted to make the why Lehigh essay really stand out.
I put alot of time into it and it is 4 paragraphs. I am applying to the IBE honors program...

Mine was as long as the page would allow (had to cut it down.) I'm going for IBE as well.
