<p>I'm going to apply to UW madison this year, and I noticed that I need to write 2 different statements for my application. However, the instructions don't mention any minimum or maximum length for my response. Approximately how long should it be?</p>
<p>The application Q&A site suggests between 250-500 words for each statement.</p>
<p>The third, smaller statement about your most important extracurricular activity has a suggested length of 50-100 words.</p>
<p>Also, I saw the word “concise” used in the admissions blog cited by a CC UW site. This means edit your essays and eliminate excess verbage- longer won’t impress.</p>
