How long should summers essay be?

How long should the summers essay on the Princeton Supplement be?

Thanks!

it is not an essay. simply write until it cuts you off

I thought it had unlimited characters, but it actually cuts you off?
Strange...

I kept it really short and simple. Don't write anything that isn't really important to write.

for the paper app, it was like 1 paragraph (max)

do not overdo on the summer question.. it simply is asking for what you did in the previous summers....and NOT an opportunity to write a life long autobiography.

I used bullet points.

lol i dunno about bullet points. it said "tell us how you spent your summers" not "list your summer activities"

I don't think it realyy think it matters how long it is or how it is written. Just that it conveys what you did the last two summers.

Everything you put on your application matters to some degree. Particularly given that colleges know how much assistance students often now get in writing admission essays, they are giving more scrutiny to how students respond to parts of the essay that may be “less scripted.” I thought my child’s answer to that question was creative and the best part of my D/S’s application. When my child went to the admitted students weekend, the regional admission’s officer told my child that she remembered what my D/S had written for that question.
