WPI started releasing decisions for first year applicants as of 5 PM EST on March 20. It has been 12 hours and still no change on my daughter’s web portal. Will these decisions take more than a day or so to roll out? If so, how long should we wait before calling admissions in case there is a system glitch for her. This is the first time she has had to wait more than a couple hours on one of her decision days. I would post in the WPI threads, but it is usually so quiet in there and we don’t Facebook or Twitter.
Does WPI release in batches or all at once? If the former, don’t say anything at all. If the latter, I’d wait 4 to 5 days. They have a lot of decisions to release, and you won’t be the only concerned parent with something to say. Keep checking the portal every day!
Thanks for your response. I guess we will wait and see.
@NorthernMom61 here is Twitter news
“Admissions decisions for all first-year candidates are now available at admissions.wpi.edu/status. Use your WPI ID and date of birth to login.
5:00pm - 20 Mar 15”
Most schools, I’m referencing Princeton’s and Duke’s emails, say that you can call the day after decisions are released if you cannot check them online for whatever reason. Just call on Monday when the office opens
Best of luck for your daughter!!!
Still no change so we will have to call. Oh well.
