How long should "Why X College" essays be?

<p>Wow, I am applying to 10 schools (and only paying 2 app fees!) and 9 of them ask for "Why X College" essays and yet none of them specify any sort of boundries for length. I'm doing all Common App online so it isn't like they give you a certain amount of lines or ask to attach a sheet of paper or anything. I was thinking about 3 paragraphs or 200 words would suffice, but I'm not sure. </p>

<p>Any suggestions on how to write them? I have some ideas and I tried to do a search, but it's a hard topic to search for (I would appreciate any links to other threads).</p>

<p>I had to do one of these "no limits" ones (already submitted) and I have to do one for Penn though they have a limit. </p>

<p>Anyways, for mine, I just typed until I said everything I wanted to, then I liposuctioned it, and tah-dah! The final product.</p>
