I am planing to apply for PhD in pharmacology or pharmaceutical science. by the time I apply I will have like 6 month of research experience. What you guys think is it enough for that program or I am not gonna have a chance?!

Any ideas??

6 months isn’t really that much unless it is like a summer intensive kind of program. Most people I think have a year or 2+ of research. PhDs are very research intensive and the only way you would know you really want to do research is if you have a lot of experience. PhD programs will also want to know that you are able to fully communicate and have a conversation about your research. If you feel like you are able to do this, then you should definitely apply. If not, you could always do research for a little bit longer and apply after.

Thanks for your reply,
Actually I had 1+ years working in a tissue engineering lab during my junior year that’s like 4 years ago but I don’t have prove. The professor, I worked for, retired a year a go and I lost touch with him. I also spend at least 6 semester working in chemistry, physics, and tissue engineering lab as a part of school curriculum.
Do u think these will count or I should have prove?!

Yeah they should be fine. Just be sure to mention that and how that has affected ur desires to attend grad school in ur statement

do u mean mention those experiences or that I can’t provide a prove?!
