How long till I get a response?

Okay guys...here's the thing: I applied to Rutgers at NB and the university recieved all my credentials. It has been exactly a week since I applied. Reading from all these threads, it seems like the response range varies from 1 day to 4 months!! I know I should be patient, but I want a response from this school (many probably know this feeling (especially if RU is one of your top choices!))!! I am not an amazing SAT scorer, so does that mean it'll take them even longer to reply back to me? You think I'll get a response in the next week or two? Is the application pool like really large right now? (like in your opinion...do you think the school has recieved a lot of applications by now?)

Here are my stats as a side note (in case you'd like to chance me, but if you don't want to, that's okay too=))

-NJ resident

-SAT 1st time: 1660...crappy I know (520 CR, 510 M, W 630)
-SAT 2nd time: 1750...ehhh...(620 CR, 540 M (weak, I know), W 590)
-Highest combined: 1790

-GPA: 4.1 W
-Rank: 15/186: Top 10%
-High Honor Roll all 4 years
-Have taken 10 honors courses in high school and 4 APs (AP Chem, AP Bio, AP Stats, and AP English Lit.)
-Volunteer at a local hospital...completed almost 200 hrs (still volunteering and will start tutoring)
-In 4 clubs...including FBLA and NHS

I've applied into Biology (plan on going pre-med after i enter the school, but I hear pre-med reqs are like in the bio major itself)

Rutgers schools I applied to:

1) SAS NB
2) SEBS NB

I have also written the personal statement.

So...do you think based on my credentials I'll hear back a little quicker? If not, how soon do you think they'll respond? I know you guys aren't adcoms, but I'd greatly appreciate your input! =)

Thanks to all and good luck!

I know that feeling,i’m as impatient as you are.(ru is my 1st choice too). The latest response is 28 February and the earliest is 15 October.I noticed that they take longer to send responses to low SAT scorer’s but that is not a rule.I also dont have any real data on my hand to respond with confidence. But i really hope(as do you) that we do get a fast response. But we do have to wait :'(.Good luck!

Thanks so much for the info. February 28th?! Hopefully my SATs aren’t such a disaster that they reply to me that late! I really hope you get a response soon =). Oh and today I got a letter from Rutgers in the mail and I was dead scared it was like a rejection or something (because rejections come in a small envelope, right?) Anyway, I like tear it open and I’m like “THANK GOD! It’s not a rejection!” haha.
Good luck to you and maybe we’ll see eachother at RU=) What schools did you apply to? You appliedto NB right?

Yeah NB,
SAS
SEBS
and SE
But i’m only interested in SAS.I want to major in Cell Biology and Neuroscience.
Now we just have to wait!Hope to see you too!

SAS is my top choice as well!
Cell Biology and Neuro? I was thinking about majoring in that! However, I applied into Bio because I’m pretty dead set on the whole pre-med/bio thing and I think I’ll end up double majoring in bio and psych before med school haha. But first, as you said, we have to wait! Good luck (again!)!
