How long to get between College Ave and Busch?

On Thursdays, one of my classes is on College Ave and ends at 4:10. My next class is on Busch and starts at 5:00. Is this generally enough time to get between the campuses? And how lenient are professors usually if you're running late to class?

You have plenty of time. It usually takes 10-20 minutes. Depends on traffic, the bus you’re taking, and where you’re leaving from/ going to.

I actually have a similar question. One of my classes ends at 11:50 on Livingston and another starts at 12:20 on Busch. Will I be able to make it to Busch on time?

Rinny you’re definitely fine just dont get on at the Hill Center stop.

RUrahrah where do you need to go on Busch? building wise.

I have to go from some auditorium on livingston to Doolittle hall on Busch.

Can you help me too?*

Livingston to Busch is not really a challenge unless you have 30 minute break. Take the B and you could get off at the Science Building stop. Its been a while since I’ve been to doolittle I can really remember if its the trailers or sanford building you are referring to or if they are the same thing lol.

Haha I am not sure where either of the buildings are, but I also have only a half hour in between the classes. If it is a half hour between those buildings, do you think I am going to be late?

No you should be fine. Login to webreg. Here’s how you find the building. Click the 3 letter- 3 number link next to the campus (example: HCK-213 stands for hickman room 213) that will take you to a map of the building and surrounding buildings. If you message me the link I will give you exact directions if you’d like.

Right when you login under REGISTERED COURSES are your courses listed like

After the time see the HCK-303 click that

There is also a building search though sometimes is flawed.

its possible but it will be a tight window. If you are taking a class at beck hall, make sure you take the bus at livingston plaza(opposite of livingston apts also the 1st bus stop on livi). Taking the bus at the student center will make your life suck especially when another 100+ students are trying to get on B.

Better possibility for you to get on the B Bus at livingston plaza than the student center.

Get off at the bus stop opposite of ARC(allison road classroom) and then walk staight and there will be a small curve to go behind the wright chemistry builiding which is where dolittle labs are located.

I’m guessing this is Bio lab and one advice for that course is that after the first lab week they will do quizzes in the beginning of the lab where you can’t make it up if you miss it.

Thank you so much for the detailed responses! I will definitely look for the links. That is great advice, shiplonz – don’t want to be fighting toget on the bus. How often do the buses run? What happens if the bus leaves 5 minutes before I get out of class? And then if I get on at that stop and then get off, how long is the route going to take? Last thing I want is to be late and miss a quiz. There are other sections with a better lab time and same lecture sections – what are the odds that any open up where I can just switch to get the more convenient lab?

I dont know how bio labs are but with physics I was able to switch into another section, same TA, he would just put my grades into the other section’s. Depends where you are going from usually it takes about 10 minutes from my experience from the livi student center. The B bus is usually very frequent, the B bus comes about every 8 minutes depending on the time of day. Test out the waters first week, you can always rent a bike and ride, sometimes faster especially from those campuses. Those sections could open up doing the add/drop period you never know.

You can get RUlost if you have a smart phone (its an app). It allows you to see when the buses are coming at which stop etc… that way you can judge it in class.

Tuesdays and Thursdays are absolutely the worst days for anyone to commute, because buses are usually so packed. Traffic is also terrible at times. On these days, it can take anywhere from 10 minutes to 20 minutes.

If you decide to walk, it can take you around 30 minutes.

I am going to “HLL” from Livingston. Can I walk there or will 30 mins be enough? Idk if the bus will get me to class on time

That would be the Hill Center if I am not mistaken, you’ll be fine its the 2nd stop on the B bus

Perfect thank you!

Quick question: how long does it take to get from the Livingston Student Center to Beck Hall? I understand there is a bus stop outside of each, but how long does it take to get from one to the other, and how often do these B buses come? I had heard a new bus comes every 5 minutes, but also that the bus comes late.

It takes about 30 seconds to walk from LCC to Beck. If you walk slowly, it will take about 2 minutes

Good to know, but I meant the buses. If I get on the bus at Beck Hall, how long will it take to get to the student center on livingston, and then eventually to the different stops on busch? Is there a general time that it takes between stops?

It will take about a minute or two if you decide to stay on the bus. Sometimes the bus driver is crazy and won’t start the bus until everyone stays 50,000 feet away from the closing door. If this happens, it will definitely take longer.
