I emailed a prof I'm interested in doing honors research course with. She replied and told me to email me my CV and transcript. I did that this Monday, but she is not responding. How long should I expect to wait? Do some profs not reply back if they don't want you? I know this is usually the case if you're emailing them about volunteering in the lab, but I'm not asking them about volunteering. I would like them to at least reply me back regardless of their decision.

I would wait two-three weeks, then email again.

Yeah, I’d wait about 2 weeks, then email again. Follow the email up with a phone call to the dept. Make sure every piece of communication is very well-written and respectful. After a 2 phone calls, I might drop by the professor’s office. However, beyond that, I’d probably suggest trying someone else as that faculty member is likely too busy to take up a mentee and/or is uninterested. In either case, you don’t want that faculty member as your advisor.
