How long to wait for an interviewer?

I’m currently sitting in a Starbucks waiting for an interviewer that’s a half hour late. At what point should I go home? I don’t have her phone number, and I already emailed her, but she hasn’t gotten back to me. Should I stick it out for another half hour or leave now? Also, I am in NJ, in the snow storm, but she didn’t contact me to reschedule, so I assumed it was still on.

I would wait another half hour and then leave. At the very least, she’ll appreciate your tenacity if she shows up!

To be honest, I don’t think that anybody will be out in the snowstorm. I’m in NJ, too, so I would email her again, and then leave. The snowstorm is really bad here.

I don’t know what part of NJ you’re in in terms of the severity of the snow storm (if you’re in northern, you might get it worse) but I wouldn’t wait too long with the storm coming. Later hours means colder temperatures, people coming home from work, and grosser conditions. You can email her again politely and say that you’re now leaving but hope to be able to reschedule a time with her.

Thanks @DL43516, the Starbucks manager actually just told me they’re closing in 20 minutes, so I guess that makes my decision for me! I’m guessing she’s not showing at this point, so should I just contact her later tonight and try to reschedule?

Likely it was the weather that kept her. She’ll likely follow up with a new time very soon. Be careful out in the weather yourself!

Thanks everyone! I live in central/northern NJ, but the roads aren’t too bad yet; it seems that will be later tonight and tomorrow, your concern is appreciated though. I talked to her and it seems that she contacted everyone who was supposed to be interviewed today and cancelled with them, but I somehow got left off the list, which is understandable. It’s all good now, plus, I can tell everyone I got stood up by Harvard lol :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m sorry you hot stood up on your interview, @Butterfreesnd. You have a great attitude. Good luck on your actual interview.
