How long was your interview?

I haven't done yet, but I am curious about this.
Does it mean that the longer interview one had, the better he did on it?

This is generally a good sign for any interview, especially if it is a real back-and-forth discussion. Jr's MIT interview is tomorrow night. I'll try to remember to report how it went.

Mine was moderately unusual, about 20 minutes long, since my twin had gone for an interview about a week earlier and the interviewer kind of wrapped it up early saying that he had got much of his info from my brother. Bit strange, certainly, but quite good...

My son's interviewer asked me to come back in 45 minutes. They were still talking when I came back. I was relieved he could talk that long!

mine went on for about 2.25 hrs.

WOw mine went for 45 lol. I thought mine was long.. oh well. I was the first guy to get interviewed iirc by that guy. He had 0 questions really for me. It was pretty boring but i asked a LOT of questions about MIT.

Mine was almost two hours long... but, it was a nice day and we sat outside on a park bench to do it, and we really got into a deep political discussion (Barack Obama was making a speech in my town that night, and we were in the midst of a tight Congressional race).

mine was about 45 min.

2.5 hrs...hehehe

So here's the deal...
My friend got in and he said his went for about 3 hours. The guy he interviewed with said it was an awesome interview.

Yet, my interview went for an hour, and the interviewer said that mine was the best she's had for seven years (and she does a lot of interviews each year)

Anyway. If a 3 hour interview can be awesome and a 1 hour interview can be really good, then im sure the length cant matter too much :)

one interviewer consistently did 3 hours for everyone from my school- i think it depends on the interviewer

mine was about 2 hrs and 30-45 mins. i showed up early to mine but my EC took me in anyway. so we started about 10 mins early. i sorta lost track of time. we talked non-stop and when we both looked at the clock i was surprised to see how much time had already passed. it was a pleasant experience yet i felt like i could have said or worded many things better. eh...no point in rationalizing now, my EA decision is coming out in less than 5 days now...too late to do anything about my interview. but good luck to those doing RA =] btw, if u talk for more than an hr, i think it's a good sign.

1.5 to 1.75 hours.....

My interviewer showed up ~15 minutes late however, and that also includes a cell phone conversation with someone of [hopefully] great importance. I wouldn't want to think that she was talking to them because she didn't want to talk to me -_-

Mine was about an hour. I thought it was pretty good, but I'm not too good at casual conversation so we mostly just talked about the stuff on my resume... I think it's pretty hard to have an absolutely horrible interview, really..

45 min or so, 10-15 of which was talking about black holes and gravity waves :)

3+ hours (and I didn't ask a lot of questions). He was doing the questioning part.
But at least he helped me with a cup of ice-tea. That was very nice of him and quite helpful, to be honest ;)
