I didn't keep track of time, but my interview was only about 30-40mins long (probably, not definitely). Is that about average? And did you guys get any indications of a good interview? My interviewer seemed nice and all, but he didn't really end with anything like "...we will be glad to have you here." Thnx.

Mine was an hour long, and my interviewer and i became quick friends. It was the most fun I had in a while. We still talk; we're interested in the same stuff. None of the interviewers will tell you if they think you got in- they have no authority to say that.

mine as around 45 mins. it went kind or like a scheduled out meeting. he had about six or seven questions written down to ask me, then prompted me about my answers. he said at the end something like: you seem to be a good fit for uc, keep your grades up and we'll see what happens (it was in october, i had told him that i was planning to apply early)...

Mine was 45 minutes, and seemed to go really well. While I didn't become friends with my interviewer, (haha varsity) I did have a good time. She seemed to have some general questions but we didn't really stick to them.

Mine was an hour, was fantastic, and then the interviewer came down to where my dad was waiting and told him I would fit in very well at U. Chicago. Ah, gotta love those little ego boosts every now and then

Oh, ok. So I assume mine didn't go that well. I had to think about 5 secs before I answered each question. Will the interview hurt me?

taking time to think isn't a bad thing, it shows that you do in fact think about things before you say anything. I would count that as a plus, myself
