How long were/are your Georgetown Admissions Essays?

I just wanted to know how long your your entrance essays were. This includes the "about me" essay (the long one), the activity essay, and the specific to your college essay. Hopefully this will be a resource to everyone who is applying this year. Also, if you could talk about whether you were accepted or rejected, and how long you would have made your essay in retrospect.

Hopefully this is an asset to everyone on the Georgetown Discussion Board!

My about me essay was maybe 1/3 of a page long (typed, single spaced)
For my activity essay, I opened the PDF file, and typed it in the box there (you can type it right on the file), and filled up the space allotted.
My SFS world issue essay was exactly a page long, single spaced, typed.
I was accepted. I loved my essays.

admitted EA. My approxiamate word counts:
"short" acitivity essay: 590
about me: 780
Why Gtown (college specific): 630

I discovered CC only after all my applications were filled out, so I had little help to off. I would not reccomend you make your short essay nearly as long as mine. I've been told a good benchmark to aim for is about 300 words.

Both my SFS essay and my about me essays were a page single space typed. I took the paper application very literally and hand wrote my activities essay in the space provided. That was probably completely unnecessary, but whatever :) It probably would have come to a third of a page single space if typed.
I was accepted EA, but really it doesn't matter how long they are within reason. It just matters what you say.
good luck!

Cool. Good insights guys.
