<p>I, along with many others, applied in early September and still have not gotten a decision from Penn State. I have heard many times that PSU starts really looking at applications after November 30, the app deadline date, and so after THREE months of anxious waiting, I was just wondering if anyone can shed some light on how fast decisions go out in December, considering that there are so fewer applications being recieved. I obviously know that there are other factors that come into play besides app date, but the wait is killing me, and I just want to know whats up!!</p>
<p>The only thing that anyone can tell you with absolute certainty is that if you sent you application out in before Nov. 1 and all your supplements were received as well. you will definitely hear back by January 31.</p>
<p>I’m almost positive that this won’t help you feel any less anxious but honestly it’s all we can tell you.</p>

<p>I am also going crazy waiting! A friend found out yesterday that she was admitted–we have similar stats so I was hoping I would hear soon too. I e-mailed admissions yesterday and they replied today. They said applications are not looked at in chronological order and that most applicants get a decision in January. Today my friend told me that she e-mailed a contact she made at diversity camp and he told her she was accepted and that she would get her letter next week. I think I am in for a long wait!</p>
<p>Yeah same here!! I know a couple of people who have been accepted from my school and so Ive been kinda hoping for my letter based on when they got theirs, what are your stats ^^^?</p>
<p>Im in the same position!!! I applied Sept 1 and havent heard anything yet. My application status still says “We have all the required materials and a decision will be here as soon as one is made.” Some of my friends have already heard that they got accepted so Im getting very concerned and frustrated!</p>
<p>Burdman^^I applied on Sept. 27, everything received by Penn State on 10/1. My stats are borderline, I am hoping for summer. 3.7 gpa 27 act, lots of honors but only 1 AP-Bio. Private school in Ohio. Legacy. Lots of community service, 4 year varsity tennis, captain, all conference player, league mvp–pretty sure Penn State doesn’t even looks at anything but test scores and gpa. In looking through last years threads most summer admissions were not offered until around Jan. 28–seems so far away! Good luck to you-hope you hear soon.</p>

<p>Thanks for your congrats on my d’s acceptance ajdata. Are you still waiting? I’m sure you have a good chance and I am convinced the ECs really do help. My d’s g.p.a. was low… But her sat on the high side. Opposite of you, but grades count more. I’m wishing you the best!</p>
