How long will it take?

I sent in my application to KU in early January, and my ACT scores were already there. I did a special program here in Missouri that combines a GED and a HSD, so I assumed I had to go through the state to get my transcripts. So about 2 weeks after the request was sent, which was about 1 week after I sent in my application, I get a letter from the state saying they do not have my scores on file, and that all transcripts I have are at my school.

I was irritated by this, and called the state department of education to figure things out, and all they told me after a bunch of waiting was to contact my school. So I did, and they told me to submit a transcript request form like everybody else. My Missouri Option teacher was perplexed by this, but I was probably the only student she's ever had actually going to college after doing MO Options, so it's understandable that she didn't know this.

I sent in my transcript request about... a week and a half to two weeks ago. I don't know how long it takes to send out my transcripts, but I'm assuming 3-4 days. It should have arrived.

Any idea how long it's going to take to send me my acceptance/rejection letter?

I got a rejection for the Honors Program at KU, so I don't know what that means. Would they even bother sending that if I wasn't accepted to the school?

1) Call your HS and ask when it was that they sent the transcripts.

2) Call KU and ask if they have received them.

Re-read your letter from KU carefully. If you were admitted to the U but not to Honors, that should be clearly stated. If it isn’t, you need to find out if your regular application is still pending or not.

Wishing you all the best.

Thanks. I’ll call my high school. I sent them many e-mails, but nobody responded. That’s probably because we have a long weekend, so the school has been closed.

As for the letter, I don’t remember where I put it, but I remember it specifically saying something about Honors students not getting accepted in high school, but gaining acceptance after freshman year. I would re-read it… but I need to find it first.
