How long would it take to retake?

<p>I didn't score very well on the ACT/SAT this spring as a junior, due to many annoying factors that kept me from studying, and I would like to retake the SAT and ACT. I don't know the testing dates but I would like to receive the scores before the deadline for the UC applications. Is that possible? </p>

<p>Also, because I need to score a high SAT (+2000) and ACT (+31), what books would be the best to study and actually benefit from? </p>

<p>Any particular advice to score higher? ( 1790/26 ) </p>

<p>October and November. I believe they accept December, but I may be wrong.</p>

<p>Best book is the blue/red book and this website is the best resource.</p>
