How low can I go?

So I'm a senior who got accepted into Wharton early. I was wondering, how low can my grades go senior year? I think i might get mostly Bs and some Cs....

I’d say at most 1-2 Cs.

oh anyone else?

You can’t really bank on a cut and dried answer. If you’re really worried, call the admissions office and ask.

1-2 Cs? I think I’m more paranoid than you all. I’m thinking the most I’ll slack is mostly As and 1-2 B+s, ha.

But yeah, my paranoid-ness aside :), I bet as long as we keep up mostly Bs we should be okay.

The noun form is paranoia, and yes, you’ll be fine :)

I called the admission office and they said that students ought to maintain the same grades they were accepted with. Furthermore, if the grades drop drastically, they are at a risk of being rescinded.

My counselor told me that as long as I don’t go below Cs, I’ll be alright.

waitlist isn’t need blind. If you give them a reason to boot you, they just might take the richer kid who is basically as qualified as you but didn’t slack off…

Congrats on the ED, but if you have any time left, do anything and everything you can to get those grades up. Don’t waste time trying to figure out how low you can go, and don’t spend your winter break goofing off. Hit the books, orgainize study groups, blah. blah, blah… (rant ended)

I’m in a similar situation. . .I just got into wharton ed but am freaked out about my grades ruining it all. As of right now it looks like I’m I might get 1-2 B’s and maybe one of those could drop to a C; this is especially bad for me because I recently moved and under my new schools weighting system this drop in grades could push me out of the top 10%. How worried should I be?

I wouldn’t worry at all about your class rank. Just work as hard as you can to keep those grades up. Remember, YOU don’t have to spend YOUR winter break writing admission essays.
