Alright, first let me get this out that the APs I'm taking are because I do like those subjects.

Another plus of them is that they "supposedly" help you get into college. But what if your grades drop a lot? How low can your gpa generally be in an AP class to still have a chance at good colleges? I know no one will be able to give me any firm answers because admission is based on many things, but I'm just flipping out that my grades are going to drop A LOT this year and than I won't be able to get into a good college (good college as in schools like Brown (hardest to get into), Vassar, Bard, etc.)?

Sorry, just have to blow off some steam while I procrastinate on my summer assignments. UGH.

Colleges don't want to see you flunking in AP classes. The ivies and the prestigious colleges won't look highly on that. Lesser colleges might say "he was trying to take the hardest I commend him/her!" but if your barely keeping your head over the water....not the greatest thing. Just concentrate on your studies this year, if you need help, try sacrificing a lot of your weekend time to do some extra studying or get a tutor. My teacher said it can help a lot to review the topic b/f your teacher teaches it (ex: class we're going to genetics ch. tomorrow!) and try to apply and link info. to retain it better. Anyway....good luck >.<

i have always heard that when you sleep it keeps processing stuff that you study right before you go to bed.

if you are sure you can get a B or above, i would take the AP class, but if you will get lower than that, go for the regular class or the honors class.
