My son has taken so far math II and chemistry SAT II. Being a sophomore he has time to take more. He has scored 800 in both SAT II. He used Barrons books and used class notes to do well.

How many additional SAT II he is supposed to take. He wants to pursue a career in humanities. Should he just take SAT II in US history or may be take one in Physics SAT II? Is this more than enough for a carrier in humanities? Thanks

Definitely have him take a history or english SAT II; most adcoms prefer to see one from math/science, and one from humanities. If he scores well, then three is plenty, since most colleges only require two SATIIs.

With the advent of the new SAT, those two are no longer specifically required for class of '06 and beyond. Now, the requirement is just two SAT Subject Tests (aka SAT IIs) from different disciplines
