<p>Hi guys, basically, my senior schedule planning card is due on wednesday, and I've been contemplating what classes to take. Originally, I wanted to do a full AP schedule (7 out of 7), but my parents are telling me to tone it back a bit, and take something like 5. Will a schedule with only 5 look rigorous enough to adcoms?</p>
<p>Just to list them out, with 7 Ap's, I think my schedule should look something like this:</p>
<p>AB Calc
AP Bio (double period)
AP Comparative governments
AP Lit
AP Human Geography
AP Stat (possibly to be replaced with AP euro)</p>

<p>AB Calc
AP Comparative Gov.
AP Human Geo
AP Bio
Latin IV (Honors)
Honors Physics</p>
<p>Also, if I do opt for the second schedule, I'm on the fence as to taking AP Lit of AP human geo, I'm not quite sure if I'll like lit, and from what I understand, the Lit teacher at my school isn't that great.</p>
<p>lol you should be fine with the first schedule…ap human geography should be pretty easy (i have a friend who self-studied the exam in one night and got a 4)…ap stats is pretty easy, ap comparative govt. is also pretty easy…also AB calc isn’t too bad…im sure you will be fine…to be honest the second schedule is probably more difficult, adding in latin 4 and honors physics…def harder than ap stats and AP lit</p>
<p>Physics is not for everyone and latin at that level is involves a lot of memorizing. The first one seems easier. I would know because it is my current schedule</p>
<p>Most people are very reliant on their Lit teachers, as improving is reliant on criticism on very subjective material. Human Geography, unless you have a total harda$$ for a teacher, is very, very easy. The first, harder schedule is probably manageable (though I don’t know whether it is at your school), but it would suck. Loosen your belt a little bit senior year! Take classes you think you’d enjoy, not because they have an AP in front of the name (though if both of those are applicable, that’s a nice bonus).</p>
<p>taking 5 won’t be looked down on (though i don’t think that bio would count double even though it’s two periods…), especially since at a lot of schools that’s all that’s possible. it depends on the school and the person - think about whether or not your schedule is considered rigorous at your school (it should be rigorous enough to be impressive but not so rigorous that people at your school think it’s a really bad idea) and how much time you want to spend on your classes vs ECs. again, it depends on the person, but as a counterexample to 7 APs being necessary, i’m taking 3 APs (and 1 honors, 1 accelerated) my senior year, and i’ve gotten into every college i’ve applied to so far, including some pretty selective ones. as long as colleges think you have something to offer them, the exact number of AP classes that you take is a minor detail.</p>
