How many AP classes should I take senior year?

Hi guys, a long story short, when I first registered for my senior year class schedule, I had signed up for 5 AP classes (Calc, Human Geo, Comp Gov, Lit and Stat), however (though I'm not entirely sure of this yet), it would appear that schedule conflicts might potentially bar me from taking more than 3-4. Would this drop in number of APs significantly hurt my chances when applying? I've taken 5 APs to date and have gotten 5s on all the exams (my school offers somewhere in the neighborhood of 25-30 APs overall).

Also, if worse comes to worst and I'm stuck with only 3-4 APs, would it make any difference if my counselor mentioned in his recommendation that I had attempted to take more AP classes, but was prevented from doing so by schedule conflicts that I had no control over?

Thanks

You should be fine. I think it’s a good idea to ask your counselor to mention that, but considering how well you’ve done on the tests it’s not a huge deal if you can’t take very many.

Yea you’re fine with 4 APs. 1 class won’t make or break your app.

Besides, adm. officers and counselors shouldn’t penalize you for something out of your control.
