How Many AP Classes?

By the time you graduate from HS, how many AP classes will you have taken?

I will have taken 9 out of 14 I think. All of the ones I won't have taken are either the other languages besides spanish or ap computer science. the one exception is physics, which just wouldn't fit, rather than being a choice

Adcoms do not look at the number of AP courses taken, but rather the number of AVAILABLE AP courses taken. The important thing is to take the most difficult curriculum that is offered at your high school. If you go to a public school in the middle of nowhere that does not have AP courses, it will not be held against you. If your high school offers a lot of AP courses, you need to take full advantage of the fact.

The point of this survey is to understand the rigor of the curriculum amoung the CC student population.

I only had 4 when I graduated, but that doesn't mean the "rigor of the curriculum" at my school is subpar. APs just aren't emphasized, but I went to an excellent, competitive school that sends like 30% of the kids to Ivies.

I don't think this survey will help you understand the rigor of the curriculum among CC student population...

ap classes can be easy as heck if you go to one school, or deadly and if you take more than 3 you'd never see another human again until the course was over.

When I graduate I will only have taken 5, but the max at my school you can even fit into your schedule (lots of requirements) is 6.

yeah ... my school has a great number of APs but we have a lot of requirements and because the AP classes are so rigorous, we really can't take more than 4 a year (and can't take any freshman year and too many requirements to fill soph year to take them). i hope colleges know that and it doesn't just look like i'm lazy....

Are you a sex and the city fan?

YES. thus, the inspiration for this user name.
i heart carrie bradshaw.

they know because of the high school report your guidance counselor sends out. We're much the same way, we have a lot of required classes

lol, I thought so. Carrie's actually my least favorie character, but I love the show, and shoes.

And yea, you're evaluated in the context of your school, so they won't think you're lazy if what you've done is the norm for your school.

I will definitely have taken four out of seven.

But, I MIGHT self-study two to make it six out of seven.

13 by the time I graduate... out of like 18 or something (well really 17 because we have both ap calc ab and bc)

are 2 AP classes junior year good enough?

You really can't ask that question here because it depends entirely on your school. Some schools have people taking 7 APs, some others 2 is the norm. You should talk to your counselor about things that pertain to your school.
