How many AP courses should I take?

I'm a freshman in high school and am looking forward to taking many AP classes. I have researched all the AP courses that exist and which ones are offered at my school. My high school offers 8 AP courses that are there every year and 1 AP course that exists if enough people sign up for it. My favorite subject is math and I'm on the track of taking AP Calculus AB as a senior. I find history interesting and am going to take AP US History Junior year and AP US Government and Politics senior year. I would also like to take AP Language and AP Literature because I hear that the teacher at my school is a great teacher. I would also like to self study an AP course my sophmore year to challenge my intellectual abilities and keep me from being bored. Which class is the easiest to self study? And is my course load going to be too much to handle? And finally will colleges be impressed if I can pull out mostly 5's and a couple 4's on these exams?

Instead of self-studying an AP, use the time to involve yourself in an activity. Choose something you expect to like that isn’t academic. Prepare to put major time into your activity during the next few years. Accomplish something real that you can talk about in essays and interviews. Otherwise you’ll be one of the many applicants who spent all their time getting into college and are uninteresting to adcoms.
