I have taken 4 AP courses and I was wondering how many Northeastern accepts.

Also, does the Northeastern pharmacy program accept the AP Bio or AP Chem credit because I know their program is very specific.

Thanks!

They accept as many as you have… I don’t think there’s a limit.

This are how the scores transfer into credits:

I’m not familiar with the pharmacy program, so I don’t know.

Thanks for the link! :)

Anyone know any specifics about the pharmacy program?

If you have all the AP credits from the first year of the curriculum which would include AP Biology, Chemistry, English, Psychology,Calculus and a few electives you can be a pseudo-sophomore and go straight into year 2.

If you have some of the AP credits from first year, you can lighten your load by taking less credits or you can move up some classes from 2nd year to first(if they dont require needed prerequisites) and lighten up both your first and second year.

If you have enough, these AP credits may open up the chance for you to minor in something.

I have enough credits to AP out of three of those courses that you listed. And my AP Stats credit could probably count towards an elective, right? That’s really great that they accept most APs and it would be cool to minor in something.

Thanks for the info, Antman!

Parent here – our DS is a P4 in the pharmacy program and got 4 AP class credits upon entry as a freshman - he got out of a couple of the required classes and got elective credit for the others which will help him in his P5 year. It also allowed him to pick up a business minor with the extra time. His AP Stats credit was considered one of those electives.

Yayy! thanks! I was wondering because some pharmacy programs are really specific with what APs/how many they accept, and I’m glad to hear that Northeastern is not one of them.

Wow – thanks so much! This really helped = )

is statistics a required elective for the pharmD program?? i dont know if I should take the AP stat exam or not…

The only stats I see required for PharmD is “Research Methodology & Biostatistics” so I don’t think regular stats is required.

I don’t think it’s in the pharmD curriculum but I would still take the AP exam if you’re certain you’re attending NU because it could count as an elective credit.

AP Stats will count as an elective in the NUPharmD program if you score 4 or 5 on the exam.
